About the Presenter: Gary Jobson is a sailor, television commentator and author based in Annapolis, Maryland. He is a past Vice President of the International Sailing Federation and past President of US Sailing. Gary has authored 20 sailing books and is a columnist for Sailing World, Cruising World and What’s Up Annapolis magazines. He has led sailing expeditions to Antarctica, the Arctic, Cape Horn and most recently Sable Island (known as the Graveyard of the Atlantic). Since 1956, Gary has competed in 5700 races and has given 2800 lectures. He was inducted into the America’s Cup Hall of Fame in 2003 and the National Sailing Hall of Fame in 2011. Janice Jobson is his wife of 46 years and has three daughters along with five grandchildren. On his down time, Gary’s enjoys skiing, fly-fishing, and day sailing. He is a cancer survivor and served as Chair of the Leukemia Cup regatta series from 1993-2017, helping to raise $66 million for cancer research.
