About the Presenter: 

Dr. Christian J. Koot is a professor of history and the department chairperson at Towson University. Dr. Koot is an author of two books including, "A Biography of a Map in Motion: Augustine Herman's Chesapeake (New York Unversity Press, 2018). He is the co-founder and co-leader of the Unearthing Towson Unversity History Project and a member of the university's studying slavery team dedicated to uncovering, understanding, and explaining the history and experience of diversity at Towson University.
